PEACHES!!!!!!!!!

As promised, here are some pictures of Brian's first big boy meal that he enjoyed for dinner Tuesday night, peaches! Anyone who feeds Brian quickly learns that he knows exactly where the spoon needs to go and will help you to make sure you find it! Wednesday morning he sampled some carrots which he also seemed to enjoy. Mommy may actually now have someone else in the house to enjoy a good vegetable with!

I'm 6 Months Old!

Believe it or not, it was already time for Brian to have his 6 month doctors appointment! He is in the 50 percentile of everything which means - he is doing great! His Mommy and Daddy knew he was gaining weight as he feels like a ton when we are hauling him around in his car seat! He now weighs 17.3 pounds and has grown another 2 1/2 inches which means he is now 26 1/2 inches tall. His head circumfrence has also grown 2 inches to a total of 44 inches! We also got the go ahead to start adding some variety and color into Brian's diet - in the form of some real live baby food! I think all 3 of us are looking forward to this chance since rice cereal (aka: gruel) looks just plain nasty! Look for some photo's of how Brian is enjoying his fruits and vegetables in the near future!

This picture was taken by Daddy last night as Brian was settling into bed for the night. He didn't think he was quite ready for bed yet, but after listening to his glowing friend sing him a song, he was in la-la land within minutes!

Back in December, Brian and his Mommy were in our church's Boar's Head Festival playing the parts of Mary and the baby Jesus. We just got the picture back that we ordered and it is now on the blog in the December 2006 posts. Please go have a look!

Hey - Who Shut Off The Lights?

I wonder what it must feel like to be enjoying the view from wherever you may be, only to have Mommy or Daddy bundle you all up in your car seat. When you next see the light of day, you are generally in a completely different place, sometimes with all new faces looking in at you! Brian doesn't complain about having the flap on his car seat cover closed, but he has been sticking a hand out of the slot as if to let us know he's still in there!

Happy Birthday Cousin Krista!

Birthday wish's go out to Brian's oldest cousin Krista who turned 7 years old today! Happy Birthday Krista!

Last night, Brian got to enjoy a sleep over with Grandpa and Grandma. Here are some pictures of his adventure!

Do I Look Like My Daddy?

My Thoughtful Spots

Not that Mommy and Daddy are at all biased......but this kid is adorable no matter what he's doing!

Jem The Cheerleader!

Brian has completely mastered the art of rolling from his tummy to his back. Now he is working on being able to roll back to the starting position of his tummy. He is getting sooooooo close but is still having a bit of trouble getting his shoulder to cooperate with him. Jem was leading the cheering squad for him to make the complete rollover....and there may have also been a few toys strategically placed to assist with rollover motivation, but Jem was definitely still cheering him on!

Walter the Guard Dog

Okay, so "guard dog" may be a bit of a stretch, but he sure does seem to enjoy keeping a close eye on Brian. As for Brian, he especially likes to touch his wet nose and soft ears. Fortunately, Walter is a good sport about the whole thing.

Easy On The Starch Please!

Isn't it amazing how one little boy can generate so much laundry? Brian is currently trying to make "motorboat" noises with his lips but at the moment, he is mostly just making lots of spit dribble down his front. When you are being that cute though.....who cares about having to do an extra load or two of laundry!

Playtime With Jeff and Diane!

Mommy and Daddy had an evening out, so good friends Jeff and Diane came over to hang out with Brian. Brian has always loved playing with "Auntie Diane" so he knew he was in for an evening of fun and he was not disappointed! He also introduced them to Jem and showed them how nicely he can pet her. Brian is clearly an animal lover as is evident in how he lights up and smiles whenever either the dog or cat come into the room.

Thanks for playing with me Jeff and Diane, I can't wait to do it again!!!!

More Tummy Time!

Tummy time is much more enjoyable for Brian the stronger his back and neck have become. He does take every opportunity to show off his ability to roll over though. One second he's on his tummy and the next, he's on his back just a-giggling away at his accomplishment!

High Chair Ride Anyone?

Brian's cereal meals are made up of two parts. The first part is served with a spoon and the second part is having the cereal mixed into his bottle. After he is finished with the spoon (which he is now eating like a big boy while seated in his highchair!) he enjoys some playtime. In this picture, he was all smiles when he went on "Mr. Toad's Wild Ride" (aka: Daddy pushing the wheeled highchair for a loop around the inside of the house)!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Brian is celebrating his first Valentine's Day today! Truth be told, I'm not sure that he feels its much different than any other Wednesday, but he did notice the big smile on his Mommy's face when she saw the pretty red flowers that Daddy gave her!

Where Did I Put My Safety Glasses?

Daddy started working on a remodeling project in the basement this past weekend. Even though Brian didnt seem to be bothered by the noise, he wore a pair of "ear muffins" when he went in to evaluate Daddys progress.

I Haven't Tried This Position!

Brian is starting to sleep on his tummy at night as well as during naps. He finds the position very comfortable but it does take a little extra effort to crane that neck around to see who's talking to him! After waking up in the morning, he likes to spend some time just talking and taking in the sights around him. On one particular morning, Mommy and Daddy found Brian in this new sideways position! I guess thats one way to test out how those bumper pads work!

Excuse Me!!!

If someone would be so kind as to change this diaper, I could get back to playing with these toes of mine! Due to the weather, Brian wears mostly "footy" clothes, so at the moment, he doesn't see too much of his toes. However, when he does get a change.....especially on the changing table, they are a source of great entertainment for him!

Don't Let The Bedbug's Bite!

After Brian wakes up in the morning, sometimes he gets to have some quality snuggle time in Mommy and Daddy's bed. His smiles and giggle's sure get Mommy and Daddy's day off to a great start!

Congratulations Indianapolis!

Brian sends congratulations out to his good friends Diane and Ryan who got to see their Indianapolis Colts win the Super Bowl Sunday night! The cute stuffed zebra "Colt" in this picture was given to Brian by Ryan!

Are Teeth In My Near Future?

Given the amount of drooling that has been happening recently, Mommy and Daddy think a tooth or two may not be too far away! In the meantime, Brian loves to suck on anything that will fit into his mouth! A couple of the toys on his exersaucer are some of his favorites as to what will get a good chewing.

I Can't Get Enough Of These!

It's so much fun to see the world through Brian's eyes as he continues to discover all the things around him. Brian's fingers and toes provide him (and those watching him) with a great deal of entertainment!
