Brian Meets the Governor!

Topping off Brian's visit to the SD Capitol was getting to meet the Governor!

Inside The Capital Building

Since Mommy is from South Dakota, she may be a bit biased, but the Capital Building located in Pierre is a beautiful building. Brian and Daddy took a moment to have their pictures taken in the rotunda and in the Governors office!

Mr Brian Thomas Goes to Washington.....err.....Pierre South Dakota!

Brian and his parents were able to make a quick trip back to South Dakota to watch Grandpa Tom in action in the South Dakota State Senate! His first day at the Capital was filled with lots of fun exciting new experiences, all of which Mommy and Daddy tried to capture with the camera. Brian had lots of fun sitting at (or rather on) Grandpa's desk as well as checking out all the action from the upper Gallery seating area. As an extra special treat, he and Mommy got to go sit with Grandpa at his desk when the Senate went into session for the day. He was all smiles when Grandpa introduced him to everyone!

I Love My New Hat!

Brian would like to say thank you to Becky, the daughter of good friends of his Mommy and Daddy who hand crafted his wonderful new hat! The timing was perfect too since it is getting cold here again.

Happy Birthday Cousin Haley!

Brian's cousin Haley celebrated her 2nd birthday with a family get together at Chuck E.Cheese yesterday and I think it is fair to say.....fun was had by all! Brian didnt have much interest in playing any of the games yet, but his Mommy and Daddy had a ball with him at the booth that does a little drawing of you while you wait!

Quality Time

Daddy and Brian enjoy spending some special time together in the evenings hanging out and discussing "guy stuff".

Everyone needs a power nap from time to time - including Brian and Mommy.

Cereal...mmmmmm yummo!

Brian has been eating a little cereal mixed in with one of his bottles for about a month but today, he tried some cereal on its own! He did terrific, quickly mastering how to get his mouth around the spoon and he even managed to keep the majority of it all in his mouth!

Another Milestone!

On January 1st, while enjoying some tummy time....well, "enjoying" might not be the term Brian would use, he rolled over! Brian has strong little legs and does lots of kicking. He is now able to keep his head very steady while he's on his tummy and looking around the room. It's clear that he is gaining more arm and back strength every day!
